Educate Fairfax is a 501(c)3 non profit education foundation that supports the students, educators, families and schools within Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), the largest school division in Virginia.
Our sole purpose is to ensure every student has a path to success!
We achieve this by forming strong community partnerships to raise funds that combat food insecurity, provide school supplies, support workforce development scholarships for students, and offer grants to educators and staff.
For more than five years we have been providing grants to teachers to provide students with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive both academically and personally. Our grants celebrate the ingenuity and commitment of FCPS staff and recognize their dedication to creating meaningful, equitable, and innovative learning experiences.
This past fall, we awarded 129 Grants to 117 schools across the division--our biggest award to date!
These grants will benefit over 47,000 students in 117 of our 199 schools!
But awarding grants to 117 schools just isn't enough!
We want a grant in ALL 199 schools for the 2026-2027 school year!
But we can't do it alone -- will you join us in meeting this goal and providing innovative learning experiences to even more FCPS students?
Our Successes:
With support from an Educate Fairfax Grant, 290 Garfield Elementary students launched a schoolwide composting initiative, transforming food waste into nutrient-rich compost while learning hands-on lessons in sustainability, ecology, and environmental responsibility. By partnering with a local farm and planning to connect the project to their school garden next year, students are seeing firsthand how small actions can create a lasting impact on their community and the environment.

Also through an Educate Fairfax Grant, 140 Annandale High School students visited NOVA’s Medical Education, Automotive Technology, and Information & Engineering Technology campuses, where they explored state-of-the-art labs, connected with professionals, and discovered new career pathways. The experience expanded students’ awareness of high-demand fields such as respiratory therapy, dental hygiene, and automotive technology — inspiring many to envision their futures in new and exciting ways.
A donation of any size has the power to make a meaningful impact in our community:
$5,000 could establish a new school food pantry, complete with essential equipment and supplies.
$2,000 could bring an educator’s bold idea to life through an Educate Fairfax Grant.
$1,000 could provide a scholarship to a student pursuing post-secondary education or career training.
$500 could fill 20 backpacks with all the supplies a student needs for the entire school year.
$100 could fill 10 Snack Packs, ensuring students have access to food over the weekend.
Together, we can pave paths to success for every FCPS student!
