Educator Support

Teachers in the Granite School District go above and beyond to help their students succeed. In an effort to express our appreciation, we recognize one GSD teacher each Thursday in our Thank You Thursday event, we host an Educator Appreciation Fair, we help new teachers access funding to stock their classrooms, and each year we recognize 9 teachers and 1 administrator for outstanding contribution in our annual Excel awards. 

“As teachers in Utah, I feel like we are never sure if we will have the money we need to buy things for our classroom. I teach in a high-poverty area and have to buy supplies for students (like pencils, notebooks, glue, etc.) on top of the regular teacher materials.

These events [new teacher store & teacher appreciation fair] really ease that burden for teachers at our school.”
